Transport Planner

WR Logistics is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their team in Avonmouth. As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for planning routes for company-owned vehicles UK-wide, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
- Ensure compliance with WTD and Drivers Hours regulations
- Communicate with customers to keep them informed of delivery schedules
- Perform administrative tasks, including costing and charge rate agreements
- Collaborate with the Manager to ensure all vehicles meet company standards
- Extensive experience in transport route planning
- Container experience preferred, but a planning background with a transport company is considered
- Excellent geographical knowledge and strong communication skills
