Service Manager – Allerton Care & Support
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join our dynamic team at Allerton Care & Support. As a Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of team leaders, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support services to our clients.
The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to achieve outstanding outcomes. You will be responsible for managing care and support systems, including rota management, monitoring service performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and employee management – to lead, direct and support a team of team leaders.
- Relationship management with our clients and stakeholders.
- Management of care and support systems, including rota management.
- Monitor service performance via audits, spot checks, and observations.
- Supervisions and annual appraisals.
- Ensuring each care and support plan is accurate, meaningful and an effective tool for staff who deliver care and support.
- Management of the referrals process including initial assessment.
- Attend case reviews with local authorities regarding reviewing of placements or contracts.
- Participate in the on-call rota.
- Monitor Quality Assurance via audits across all services.
- Management of incidents and safeguarding.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Health and Social Care Diploma Level 4 (NVQ) in Leadership and Management for Care Services (or a commitment to work towards completing).
- Previous experience in a similar supported living environment which includes managing a staff team.
- Knowledge and experience of using Positive Behavioural Support approaches.
- Good knowledge and experience in implementing Safeguarding Adults procedures, Health and Social Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and other regulatory legislation.
- Good knowledge and experience of working with people with Mental Health & Learning Disabilities.
- Good knowledge and experience of working with the CQC and other partner agencies such as the local authority and supporting groups such as Skills for Care.
- Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and their key lines of enquiry.
