About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to join our Legal Services Team at Coventry City Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a varied and large caseload, including all aspects of commercial property law.

The successful candidate will have a passion for commercial property work, particularly freehold-related work, and will be able to provide a range of advice on property legislation to various officers within the Council, as well as Councillors and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied and large caseload, including all aspects of commercial property law
  • Provide advice on property legislation to various officers within the Council, as well as Councillors and senior management
  • Support junior members of the team as required and assist with training trainee solicitors
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Councillors and senior management

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with experience in commercial property law
  • Strong knowledge of property legislation and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
