Job Title: Payroll Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Payroll Manager to join our team on an FTC basis. As a key member of our payroll operations function, you will be responsible for managing a large payroll team and overseeing the timely and accurate payment of employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall payroll operations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Provide expert payroll advice and guidance to the team.
  • Oversee the reconciliation and approval of payments to HMRC.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll data.
  • Train and develop payroll team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • CIPP or equivalent Payroll Manager Qualification or relevant experience.
  • Extensive payroll management experience within a high-volume setting, of at least 5,000 employees.
  • Large team leadership experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting/analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
