We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cancer Support Team Lead to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Support Workers in delivering high-quality care to patients affected by cancer.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the delivery of the Cancer Single Point of Contact and Support Worker Service in line with the Service Operational Policy.
- Be accountable to the General Manager for Cancer and Oncology Services.
- Directly manage a team of Support Workers.
- Provide expert advice on aspects of patient care within defined boundaries and limits.
- Implement and roll out the Cancer Single Point of Contact and Support Worker Service through liaison with relevant departments and individuals.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM.
- Sage and Thyme Foundation Communications skills course (or equivalent).
- Computer/Word processing qualification equivalent to RSA 2/3.
- Customer Care course (or equivalent experience).
- Extensive proven knowledge of Microsoft applications - Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Excellent and accurate data entry skills.
- Proven ability to manipulate data and translate into reports of varying applications.
