Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audit Senior to join our dynamic audit team at Reed. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and executing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with auditing standards, and providing valuable insights to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop comprehensive audit plans to identify areas of improvement.
  • Perform detailed audit testing and document findings, providing actionable recommendations to clients.
  • Review and evaluate internal controls and financial reporting systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports, presenting findings to senior management and clients in a professional and effective manner.
  • Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in auditing standards and regulations, applying this knowledge to improve audit processes and procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored audit services to meet their requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of audit methodologies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with industry best practices.
  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Must be either ACCA or ACA Qualified.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in auditing, preferably in an accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective manner.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as required, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
