Job Summary:

We're looking for a skilled Children's Therapist/ Counsellor to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality in-person short and long-term interventions to our clients. You will be responsible for liaising with other professionals to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest standard of in-person short and long-term interventions.
  • Be in regular supervision (external) and internal group supervision provided.
  • Liaise with other professionals to ensure safety and wellbeing of our clients.
  • Support us to continuously improve the quality of our service and safeguarding high standards of care.

Requirements:

  • Registered with appropriate regulatory/governing body (HCPC, BACP etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience
  • Have proof of Public Liability Insurance
  • Have good knowledge of calendar, mail and booking systems
  • Ability to challenge outdated and rigid approaches to therapy while upholding the highest clinical standards.
  • Ability to be versatile and flexible in your approach to therapy.
  • Current Enhanced Children and Adult DBS Clearance (or be willing to undergo this).
  • A desire to shift the culture around mental health and be a part of something at the forefront of that.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialist training in CBT (IAPT) and treatment of OCD.
  • Confidence in representing WhereToTalk in other areas of its work (writing, presenting and delivering workshops, groups and talks).
  • A deep understanding of our brand, mental maintenance and preventative approaches to mental health, not just reactive.
  • Psychosexual training and experience.
