Job Title: SEND Support Worker

Job Summary:

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Support Worker to join our team in an SEND School in Newark. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and other teaching assistants in the day-to-day running of the class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children during lessons and school activities
  • Managing pupils' personalised learning based on their individual needs
  • Delivering 1:1 or small group activities
  • Collecting evidence of children's work to support their assessment
  • Providing physical management and care of pupils

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Desire to work with, inspire, and support children
  • Interest in supporting young people with a variety of SEND
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable)
