About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Barrow. As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking technical reviews, verifying and signing engineering designs. You will also define the qualification obligations for the assurance hold points during build, test and commissioning, and provide assurance to the Design Authority as to the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supporting documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake technical reviews and verify engineering designs
  • Define qualification obligations for assurance hold points during build, test and commissioning
  • Provide assurance to the Design Authority on the Safety Case and supporting documentation
  • Work on complex, cutting-edge projects
  • Achieve a work-life balance
  • Work on long-term contracts

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree (BEng/MEng or equivalent)
  • Civil/Mechanical/Structural background
  • Experience in advanced manufacturing and aerospace and defence industries
