Quantitative Analysis Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Analyst to join our team at The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. As a key member of our Data Management and Quantitative Analysis team, you will play a leading role in driving business decisions with data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with stakeholders to influence decisions with data and provide leaders with the tools to make informed business decisions.
- Support line of business areas with advanced statistical and quantitative analysis, including running models, identifying exceptions, and taking corrective actions.
- Utilize technology tools to conduct analysis, applying techniques such as SQL querying and macro development to extract data for populating models.
- Gain a deep understanding of relevant processes and products in assigned areas and apply this knowledge to decide the most appropriate analysis, methodologies, and approaches to support the assessment of performance and risk profile of break populations.
- Interpret findings and prepare initial drafts of standard reports, as well as ad-hoc reports at the request of managers and/or other leaders.
- Translate complex technical concepts and analyses to non-technical audiences.
- Provide analytical support and prepare drafts of standard and ad-hoc reports for various areas and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree in quantitative analysis preferred.
- Years of total work experience preferred.
- Previous work experience in Data Analytics environment is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Direct experience with SQL.
- Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
- Advanced Excel skills (macros, VBA).
- Experience of using Power BI.
- Team player, proven track record in building effective relationships across global locations.
- Strong analytical skills, including ability to extract and analyze data.
- Good attention to detail and a result-driven approach.
- Organized and able to manage workload efficiently.
- Ability to work under pressure and ensure accurate output under tight timescales.
- Experience with Machine Learning or Robotics tools (preferred).
