Job Title: Locum Consultant

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at the South Pembrokeshire Community Mental Health Team.

About the Role

The successful applicant will provide clinical expertise and strategic leadership as we develop our mental health services to meet the population needs of Hywel Dda UHB.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical expertise and leadership in General Adult Psychiatry
  • Develop and implement mental health services to meet population needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to research and education activities
Requirements
  • On Specialist Register with GMC or CCT due within 6 months of interview date
  • Or CESR or equivalent European Qualifications for Specialist Registration
  • Experience in General Adult Psychiatry and UK hospital systems
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and risk management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience of NHS and mental health services
  • Research and teaching experience
  • Leadership and management skills
