Job Overview

This permanent role is available at a specialist Education School for Children & Young Adults with special education needs, Autism, Social Emotional Mental Health, or disabilities.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is £21K - £23K per annum, Actual Salary. You will also receive life assurance, pension, car lease scheme, bike to work scheme, and Perk-box discount scheme.

Required Skills and Qualifications

You must have a Full UK Driving licence, access to your own car (desirable), minimum GCSE Maths & English at Level 2/C or above, and Recognised Level 2 or above in Support Worker for Teaching & Learning in Schools. Experience of students with SEN or SEMH/ASD and enthusiasm for working within the sector are essential.

Duties and Expectations

This role involves supporting students with special educational needs, including Autism, Social Emotional Mental Health, or disabilities. You will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive learning environment, helping students to develop their skills and abilities, and collaborating with teachers and other professionals to ensure that students receive the best possible education.

In addition to providing direct support to students, you will also play a key role in maintaining the school's high standards and expectations. This may involve contributing to planning and preparation, assessing student progress, and developing strategies to improve student outcomes.
