Bennett and Game Recruitment is seeking a Technical Drafter for Manufacturing to create custom product solutions with CAD software in 2D format for production in an on-site manufacturing facility.

This role requires a high level of expertise in 2D design principles and procedures as well as excellent communication skills to work closely with customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development and Engineering:
    • Develop and produce custom product design solutions for quotation support and product manufacture using 2D Autocad in accordance with agreed design principles and procedures.
    • Prepare works orders to communicate design and component specifications to production functions and external suppliers.
    • Ensure that product design and works orders conform to agreed design principles and procedures defined in company manual.
    • Collaborate with the team to drive continuous product improvement and enhancement.
  • Working with Customers:
    • Cultivate relationships with customers and suppliers to understand their requirements and develop design solutions and specifications.
    • Participate in direct sales activities from incoming customer enquiries.
    • Negotiate product quotations with customers and suppliers in accordance with company procedures.
    • Manage customer and supplier enquiry records and deliver exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

  • Professional degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in 2D CAD with a manufacturing background.
  • Proven expertise in AutoCAD 2D software.
