Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Recycling Operations Specialist to join our team at Grundon. As a Recycling Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in the operation of our Materials Recovery Facilities (MRFs), where materials are separated and sorted from tipped waste, baled, and sent on to be recycled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate mobile plant equipment, including forklifts, loading shovels, and 360 excavators, to sort and process recyclable materials.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet production targets.
- Collaborate with a team of 14 operatives to achieve daily and weekly goals, with a focus on quality and safety.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in waste management and recycling operations.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of the waste industry, with experience in recycling processing plants or baler operations preferred.
- Ability to work in a rotating shift pattern, including early and late shifts, and occasional weekend work.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on safety and quality.
