Teaching Assistant for Trauma and Mental Health

Austin Fraser is recruiting a recent Psychology or Criminology graduate to join their support team as a Teaching Assistant. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with students coping with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with teachers and other staff members to educate pupils, manage challenging behaviors, and work one-to-one with students to ensure they stay on task. You will also identify potential triggers for trauma and mental health needs.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in supporting children with psychological needs and a passion for mental health. Previous experience working with children and/or adults with additional needs would be beneficial.
Requirements:- Recent Psychology or Criminology graduate
- Genuine interest in supporting children with psychological needs
- Passion for mental health
- Previous experience working with children and/or adults with additional needs (beneficial)
Estimated Salary: £31,500 - £36,200 per annum
