About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Prepare food and drinks, and support individuals with eating and drinking
  • Support individuals with medication, including creams and lotions
  • Ensure accurate record keeping, including finance records
  • Help individuals manage their finances and maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Liaise with landlords and other professionals to ensure individuals receive the support they need
Requirements
  • Knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs
  • Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic approach
  • Flexible and patient, with good communication skills
  • Able to complete physical aspects of the role, including manual handling
  • Transferable experience of helping individuals manage anxiety
