Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Consolidation Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate financial statements in compliance with regulations. You will also oversee FX transactions and ensure financial records are up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate financial statements in compliance with regulations.
  • FX Transactions: Oversee FX transactions and ensure financial records are up-to-date.
  • Technical Accounting: Provide technical accounting guidance under FRS 102 and IFRS.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the team to develop strategies for financial growth.
  • Compliance: Liaise with auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Drive process improvements within the finance department.
  • Financial Decision-Making: Advise on financial decisions and risk management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments.

Requirements

  • Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of FX and payment processes or similar lending environment (could be Retail Bank, Business Bank, non-banking mortgage lender, cards, fintech, etc).
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Language Skills: Spanish language skills are a nice to have but not essential.
