Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly cash forecasts and monitor cash flow to ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Update the company's forecast model to reflect changing market conditions and business needs.
  • Prepare financial reports, including the annual statutory accounts under FRS 102, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with external accountants to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns and manage the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance the company's financial management.

Requirements:

  • ACA qualified or hold a similar professional certificate.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Previous experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role to demonstrate expertise and skills.

  • A competitive salary of £65,000 - £70,000 per annum, plus a discretionary bonus of up to 15% of the previous year's salary.
