Job Description

At Panasonic Automotive Systems Europe, we are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree-level qualification in a System or Software Engineering discipline, along with 3 years of relevant industry experience or at least 5 years in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop technical documentation for system design, including system and software specifications.
  • Produce software modules in accordance with architectural design requirements.
  • Conduct verification testing of modules and integrated systems.
  • Manage the delivery of embedded systems and software at trial stages and into production.
  • Provide information for technical and strategic meetings.
  • Undertake research and self-study to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Mentor and support junior team members.
  • Arrange and maintain prototype samples, tools, and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Programming and code development practices in Embedded C.
  • Processes, quality systems, and standards for embedded systems and software development.
  • Requirements management, elicitation, and validation.
  • Methods and techniques for system and software architecture and module design.
  • Project management (software development life-cycle).
  • Modelling and Simulation tools and techniques for systems/software engineering.
  • Office applications for report writing and technical documentation.
  • User Interface development.
  • Digital and analogue embedded systems (sensors, display technologies, communication and bus protocols).
  • Techniques and methodologies for verification testing.
