About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to lead our Maternal Medicine Centre. The successful candidate will join a team of 11 consultant Obstetricians delivering high-quality antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the existing team to provide tertiary care within the Maternal Medicine Centre for those with pre-existing health conditions. The successful candidate will lead the Norwich Regional Maternal Medicine Centre and be responsible for developing and implementing service improvements.

Requirements

  • Full GMC Registration
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT, CESR, or European Community Rights
  • ATSM Advanced Labour Ward Practice
  • ATSM Maternal Medicine
  • ASM in Safe Practice in Abortion Care

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • An appropriate higher qualification - MD, MSc
  • Experience in Quality Improvement methodology
  • APM Clinical Research

Key Skills and Abilities

  • Good communicator
  • Capable of working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Enthusiasm for service development and teaching

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly and be able to travel to meetings and training events as required. A full driving license is essential.
