About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Outreach Specialist to join our team at Turning Point.
Job Description
As an Outreach Support Worker, you will work with clients in the community across Manchester, encouraging them to engage in drop-in activities, attend medical appointments, and participate in social inclusion activities.
You will also work with clients in their own homes, supporting them with medication, daily living skills, and providing emotional support as needed. Additionally, you will help identify indicators of deteriorating mental health and implement interventions to promote independence, well-being, and healthy life choices.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate individual with experience working with people with long-term mental health issues. You should have a strong understanding of the recovery model and be able to provide empathetic and supportive care.
A great team player with excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude is essential for this role. Having a driving licence is highly desirable.
Benefits
At Turning Point, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 31 days' paid holiday per year, increasing with each year of service up to 33 days. We also offer the option to buy additional holidays and spread the cost.
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Our salary range is based on your location, experience, and qualifications. If you are successful in your application, we will discuss the salary in more detail during the interview process.
