Job Title: Secondary Tutor for SEND Students

Ackerman Pierce Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated individual to provide face-to-face support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in South Normanton, Derbyshire.

About the Role
  • This is a temporary contract position, commencing in September 2024, with ongoing hours of 15 per week.
  • The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver one-to-one tuition to students in need of alternative provision.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled professional who has experience in teaching young people with complex needs, including SEMH, ASC, MLD, and SpLD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, tailored tuition to students with SEND.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement effective learning plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications, such as QTS or equivalent, and at least two years' experience working in a UK school setting.
  • Background in teaching English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes, ranging from KS1-KS5.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
