About the Role

Knauf, a global manufacturer of construction materials, is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join its Engineering Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maximizing the availability of the plant and processes, ensuring they operate effectively, efficiently, and safely by implementing Capital & Improvement Projects throughout the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Develop engineering designs, specifications, technical descriptions, cost estimates, and prepare written reports and technical specifications for various capital & improvement projects.
  • Safety and Compliance: Apply and ensure compliance with the Company's Health & Safety and Environmental Policy and Procedures by contractors, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Budget Control: Manage project expenditure to ensure agreed solutions are delivered within budget.
  • Maintenance Engineering/Supervision: Supervise routine tasks on drop shifts and be responsible for areas during shutdowns.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively engage in plant CI activities, liaise with CI Teams to engage & implement improvement projects around the site, and actively seek opportunities to save energy to support sustainability targets.
  • Control Systems: Have a good understanding of all site systems, including Inverter drives, PLC's, instrumentation, and networks.
  • Physical Infrastructure: Support the Engineering Manager in keeping the Site, buildings, and fabric, physical infrastructure, and Manufacturing and Assembly assets and equipment in a well-maintained and safe condition through implementation of agreed capex projects.

  • Desirable Skills: Data-driven and result-focused, experienced in the application of Health & Safety procedures, and demonstrable achievements in Continuous Improvement, Change Management disciplines, tools, and techniques.
