Job Summary

Cafcass Cymru is seeking a highly skilled Family Court Adviser to represent the wishes, feelings, and best interests of children and young people involved in family court proceedings in Wales. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, independent social work advice that protects and promotes the welfare of children, leading to safe outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the child's wishes, feelings, and best interests in family court proceedings.
  • Provide high-quality, independent social work advice to the court.
  • Ensure the child's welfare is paramount throughout proceedings.
  • Work effectively with partner organizations, stakeholders, and people who use our service.
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation, guidance, court rules, policies, procedures, and best practice developments.
Requirements
  • Recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Knowledge and experience of safeguarding children and young people within a statutory sector.
  • Strong IT skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
