About the Role

A leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all equipment, performing scheduled preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment to meet or exceed company established Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) expectations and customer quality expectations.
  2. Proactive in addressing inefficiencies of production equipment.
  3. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment including power and control wiring, motors, controls, electronic devices, PLC's and building electrical maintenance.
  4. Troubleshoots PLC and other electronic systems.
  5. Able to troubleshoot and program machine logic systems.
  6. Reads and interprets schematics, parts manuals, blueprints, sketches, hydraulic diagrams, and machine manuals.
  7. Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, mechanical and process problems with equipment as needed or directed by Maintenance Manager.
  8. Continually evaluate equipment for improvement areas.
  9. Tag components or parts that need repair, replacement or improvement.
  10. Perform scheduled production equipment mould changeovers as outlined by Maintenance Manager or Production Manager.
Requirements
  • Electrical engineering qualifications.
  • Electrical biased engineer that is confident working on 3 phase machinery.
  • Any experience with controls / PLC's is highly advantageous.
  • Experience providing reactive and PPM maintenance to production machinery.
  • Experienced in working on manufacturing or automated machinery.
  • Proven experience in a production environment.
