About the Role

BDS (Northern) Limited is seeking a skilled Housing Officer to join our team in the Bradford area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our tenants receive the highest quality service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage new tenancy sign-ups in accordance with our Allocations and Lettings Policy and Procedure.
  • Support customers with changes to their tenancy, including tenancy successions, transfers, mutual exchanges, and assignments.
  • Proactively engage with customers to address rent and service charge arrears, ensuring all stages of arrears recovery are followed and customers are supported to reduce their arrears before legal action is taken.
  • Respond to tenancy breaches, including anti-social behaviour reports, utilizing a range of tools and working with relevant partners to minimize the impacts of ASB.
  • Undertake annual tenancy checks to ensure compliance with our policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • You will need to be a driver with access to a vehicle.
  • Monday to Friday working hours.
  • 6 months Fixed-Term Contract with the likelihood of extension.
  • Salary in the region of £37,000 per annum.
  • Enhanced DBS Check required.
