We are seeking an experienced and organized Administrative Support Professional to join our team as a Waiting List Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our Waiting List Management service.
About the RoleThe Waiting List Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient management of waiting lists. This includes the prompt and accurate input of patient details, booking elective patients for H&N (Head and Neck) Surgery and General Surgery, and maintaining pre-admission clinics.
Main Responsibilities- Promptly input patient details onto appropriate waiting lists
- Book elective patients for H&N Surgery and General Surgery
- Maintain pre-admission clinics, highlighting potential problems
- Compile and distribute weekly detailed admission lists
- Download and update Lothian Waiting Lists and distribute to relevant stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will also have experience working in a similar administrative role and be familiar with medical terminology.
