About the Role

The Clinical Team Leader will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality care to patients with a good nursing therapeutic skill. The post holder will support the multidisciplinary team in using evidenced-based approaches such as Trauma Informed Care, recovery star, traffic light system, Broset, safety huddles and other evidence-based approaches in the prediction of violence and aggression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Being an effective clinical leader and role model, with good delegation and supervisory abilities.
  • Identifying clinical need, prioritising and deploying resources, within budgetary parameters.
  • Being an effective communicator, observer & listener.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Ensuring that all organisational policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to as well as contributing to the development of local, trust, specialist and National policies.
  • Ensuring good teamwork and working relationships with patients, carers, relatives, other professionals and the public.
  • Ensuring that clinical supervision is used to reflect upon and modify own and others practice.
  • Ensuring that own practice and that of junior staff remains within legal, ethical and professional parameters and is open to scrutiny from peers.

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services to people living in South East London and Kent and to people in prison. Our services include community health care such as district nursing and speech and language therapy, care for people with learning disabilities and mental health care such as psychiatry, nursing and therapies.
