Social Services Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our Care and Support Team in South Powys. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide support and oversight in situations where there has been a Social Work Assessment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a social work service to individual children and young people, focusing on keeping them safe and enabling them to achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to identify risk issues and ensure safeguarding measures are in place.
- Foster good working relationships with colleagues and partners to ensure effective team working.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of plans to support children and families.
- Ability to provide appropriate support to children and families, using enthusiasm and motivation to promote successful outcomes.
- Skilled and confident communication skills to sustain engagement with families in fluctuating circumstances.
- Ability to work creatively with children, using tools to encourage them to share their wishes and feelings.
- Knowledge and skills to identify risks to children and manage those risks, ensuring proportionate and timely intervention.
