Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Operations & Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Veolia's energy-from-waste facility in Shropshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing waste reception, vehicle movements, and plant operations.

Responsibilities: The Operations & Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for:
  • Managing waste reception and ash residue hall areas
  • Managing vehicle movements and operating mobile plant equipment
  • Operating plant refuge cranes
  • Cleaning the plant and equipment

Requirements:
  • Problem solving and teamwork
  • Counterbalance forklift truck, Telehandler, and wheel loader driving qualification (training provided)
  • PC literate and good communication and organisational skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Driving licence
  • Experience of operating a mobile plant (desirable)
