Job Description

The Aviation Maintenance Planner Specialist is responsible for providing short to medium-term planning requirements and material planning to support scheduled aircraft maintenance inputs.

This role involves ensuring legislative compliance, liaising with Operations Controllers, Technical Records, and the Maintenance Team, and reviewing allocated aircraft status reports.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of EASA regulations, experience with SAP and ERP software, and high computer literacy skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide short to medium-term planning requirements and material planning to support scheduled aircraft maintenance inputs.
  • Ensure legislative compliance in line with EASA Part M and Part 145 Airworthiness and Maintenance requirements.
  • Liaise with Operations Controllers, Technical Records, and the Maintenance Team to ensure a common understanding of capability and capacity.
  • Review allocated aircraft status reports on a weekly basis to ensure full maintenance programme compliance.
  • Identify provisional maintenance dates for allocated aircraft based on projected utilisation and update the Maintenance planning calendar.
  • Review material requirements against provisional maintenance dates for allocated aircraft and raise reservations/purchase requisitions for missing materials.
  • Raise aircraft scheduled maintenance orders.
  • Review prepared work specifications and work packages for maintenance inputs to ensure minimal aircraft downtimes.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of EASA regulations relating to Part M and Part 145 Airworthiness and Maintenance requirements.
  • Experience with SAP and ERP software, specifically for Technical Records, Planning, and Maintenance.
  • High computer literacy skills, competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access).
Qualifications/Training:
  • Formalised EASA Part 145 and Part M training.
  • Academic qualification in an Aviation-related discipline (NVQ, BTEC, HNC/D).
Salary Information:

We estimate the salary range for this position to be between £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
