We are currently working with a renowned organization that offers cutting-edge automated chemistry analysers for various sectors, and we are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join their team.
This role would be ideal for an analytical chemist looking for a change of pace from the laboratory and QC environment, who appreciates hands-on work with analytical equipment and travel opportunities.
Salary: £32,000 per annum (base salary) + performance-related bonuses (£1,500 - £3,500 per year)
Location: Remote with frequent travel across the M4 corridor
The Role
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for visiting customers on-site to service and calibrate analytical equipment, ensuring seamless operation and maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Installation of analytical equipment at customer sites
- Training of customers on analytical equipment operation and maintenance
- Report writing after customer visits
Travel
This role involves extensive travel to customer sites (approximately 80% of the time) along the M4 corridor. You will undergo a 4-week training period in the Netherlands, where you will gain comprehensive knowledge of the company's instruments and applications.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Chemistry or a related subject
- Prior experience in a QC/analytical laboratory
- Excellent customer-facing skills
- Valid driving license essential
- Willingness to travel across the UK with regular overnight stays
