Job Title: Special Education Teacher for Manchester School

We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Special Education Teacher to join a renowned SEN school in Manchester, catering to secondary-aged pupils with autism, severe or profound multiple learning difficulties, and related challenges.

This highly regarded SEN school is widely acknowledged for its supportive environment, both by staff and parents, and has earned excellent feedback from Ofsted and the wider community. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Special Education Teacher for a 12-month maternity cover, starting immediately.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a multi-sensory, informal curriculum to pupils working at lower P levels. The role offers flexibility, as the teacher can choose to work in either KS3/KS4, with class allocations yet to be decided.

To excel in this position, candidates must have:

  • Recent experience teaching in a UK SEN school
  • QTS/QTLS or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with students with autism and SLD
  • Experience teaching SEN pupils at KS1/2 level
  • Availability to commit for the full academic year

The estimated salary for this position is £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
