Editorial Associate

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Associate or Senior Editor with broad scientific knowledge in the physical sciences to join our team at Nature Reviews Methods Primers.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in any topic relevant to the journal, ability to absorb new areas of research, identify new developments and research trends in fields beyond their immediate specialty, and demonstrable ability to edit text for sense, clarity, factual correctness and language.
Editorial experience is not required as full training will be provided. The position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, and will be located in our London or US offices.
Key Responsibilities- Commission journal content including Primers and Comments.
- Work closely with authors throughout the writing and revision process by providing feedback on synopses, developmentally editing first drafts, and line-by-line editing final manuscripts before acceptance.
- Write PrimeViews and other editorial content.
- Interact extensively with the scientific community through laboratory visits and international conferences, virtually or in-person.
- A PhD in any topic relevant to the journal.
- Ability to absorb new areas of research, identify new developments and research trends in fields beyond their immediate specialty.
- Demonstrable ability to edit text for sense, clarity, factual correctness and language.
- Strong writing ability.
- Willingness to travel to meet scientists, discuss their research and Review ideas, and advocate for the journal.
