Job Title: Marine Procurement & Logistics Officer

Zodiac Maritime, a leading international ship operating company, is seeking a highly skilled Marine Procurement & Logistics Officer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of our suppliers, achieving quality and pricing outcomes, and managing risks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing high-quality spares and parts in a cost-effective manner, monitoring supplier performance, and coordinating logistics for connecting orders to our vessels. You will also be responsible for providing purchasing guidance to our ships' masters and chief engineers, ensuring compliance with our supply procedures.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong market awareness and understanding of maritime supply chain components, regulations, and market conditions. You should have a commercial aptitude, ability to deliver quality, and meet deadlines. A procurement or marine engineering-related degree or equivalent is required, and membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply or an equivalent professional body would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and ensure that ships' masters and chief engineers process stores and spares requisitioning and ordering according to company supply procedures in a cost-effective manner.
  • Provide purchasing guidance to vessels, including high-risk ports and approved local ship chandlers.
  • Coordinate logistics for connecting orders to vessels.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including feedback and supplier evaluation from masters and chief engineers.
  • Attend master and chief engineers' briefings for assigned fleets.
Requirements:
  • Strong market awareness and understanding of maritime supply chain components, regulations, and market conditions.
  • Commercial aptitude and ability to deliver quality and meet deadlines.
  • Procurement or marine engineering-related degree or equivalent.
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply or an equivalent professional body (advantageous).
