SEN Support Worker Job Description

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our team at an SEN secondary school near Bournemouth.

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and empathetic individual to support the teaching and learning of SEN pupils across the school. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO to monitor and advance developments in both academic and social areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
  • Working closely with the SENCO to monitor and advance developments in both academic and social areas
  • Supporting the teaching and learning of SEN pupils across the school
  • Helping pupils meet their potential through smaller booster groups and 1:1 sessions

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
