Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Eastleigh

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Eastleigh. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and supporting their learning journey.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their full potential. Whether you're experienced or just starting in your career, if you have the passion and commitment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to provide targeted assistance.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they are included in all activities.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential.
  • A positive and patient attitude with a passion for working with children.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to different classroom settings.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
