About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled PHP Software Architect to join our expanding team at Endeavour Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our technical team, you will play a vital role in delivering our roadmap of scalable services and contributing to our company's wider investment strategy.

You will work closely with our Senior Architect to design, develop, and implement technical solutions that meet our business needs. This will involve working on APIs, front-end systems, and other technical projects, using a range of technologies including PHP, Ubuntu Linux, MS SQL Server, Elasticsearch, Redis, and RabbitMQ.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in software development and database architecture, who can think critically and strategically about complex applications and data models. You will be responsible for managing architectural risk, identifying new opportunities for improvement, and promoting new technologies to support our business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and evolve our technical architecture to support current and predicted business needs.
  • Manage architectural risk and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Research and promote new technologies to support business needs.
  • Plan and implement code and infrastructure projects.
  • Champion Quality Assurance during the development cycle.

Requirements:

  • Experience in software development and database architecture.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically about complex applications and data models.
  • Understanding of data flows involving multiple applications and microservices.
  • DevOps mindset with experience in Cloud Computing concepts and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience building and integrating APIs.
  • Ability to write high-quality, SOLID code with consideration for security, performance, resilience, scalability, and re-use.
  • Comfortable writing automated tests for code.
  • Experience with Linux command-line and production systems.
  • Proactive, motivated, and highly organized with strong time management and planning skills.
