Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated Support Assistant to work collaboratively with our team to enhance the lives of children and young people, promoting their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide individualized support to pupils in various learning settings, including classrooms and small groups.
  2. Contribute to the planning and review process for individual pupils, ensuring their needs are met.
  3. Administer medication and provide personal care, encouraging independence and self-help.
  4. Implement support programs designed by visiting specialists, such as speech and language therapy.
  5. Assist with pupil mobility, adhering to moving and handling training.
  6. Qualification, Registration, and Skill Requirements

Essential Criteria:

  1. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  2. Experience in supporting young people with additional needs.
  3. PVG scheme membership and SSSC registration within six months.
  4. Relevant qualifications, including National 4s or equivalent.
  5. Good IT skills.
