Job Overview

ArrowXL is seeking a highly skilled Transport Shift Manager to lead our dedicated team in Worcester. As a key member of our Transport and Service Delivery functions, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers receive the best quality service.

As a Transport Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of skilled service delivery crews, First Line Managers, and Team Leaders. You will also be responsible for efficient fleet utilization, resource planning, and cost control, while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of skilled service delivery crews, First Line Managers, and Team Leaders
  • Efficiently utilize fleet resources, plan resources, and control costs while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and safety standards
  • Identify opportunities for improved efficiencies within the Transport function and recommend and implement changes as needed
  • Resource, develop, and manage all colleagues within your team, ensuring our service delivery crews are fully trained in all areas
  • Make prompt decisions that protect customer service and our delivery schedule, while remaining commercially focused
  • Manage on-site resources (colleagues, vehicles, and equipment) to ensure we have everything required in the right place at the right time to meet and flex to our customers' changing needs
Requirements
  • A minimum of two years' experience employed within a similar transport management role
  • Experience and knowledge of improving transport operations and introducing operational excellence
  • Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Regulations and hold a National CPC
  • First-class people skills, able to motivate, influence, coach, and develop your teams
  • Full UK driving license
Package Description

Additional Information

  • 40 hours per week, on a 5/7 rota
  • Working hours: 06:00 - 14:00
  • Basic hourly rate of £18.16
