Personal Assistant/Companion Required in Poynton
£12.00 per hour depending on experience.
Up to 12 hours per week – Ideally Thursdays but hours can be flexible. This will be discussed at interview.
Mileage costs will be paid for.

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic personal assistant who can support a young lady with a variety of day-to-day and social activities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Encourage independence and promote learning new skills.
• Accompany to college and social classes.
• Assist with accessing social activities such as the cinema, eating out, swimming or bowling.
• Drive to college, activities and appointments or accompany on public transport as required.
• Occasional evening work may be required as and when needed. However, this will not be regular.

Personal Assistant Specification:

• An interest in music, craft work and board games would be useful.
• The assistant must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable, respect privacy and maintain dignity at all times. They must be enthusiastic and flexible with a caring disposition. They must be able to work well independently. The Personal Assistant should understand their role in facilitating the self-defined needs of the employer.
• Experience is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Access to a vehicle with Business Insurance (Class 1) is required.
• The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure which will be funded through the employer.

Supervision:

The Personal Assistant is accountable to the employer in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what the employer's needs are and listen to their directions and requests.
