About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Project Worker to join our team at John Baker House, a homelessness service in Salisbury. As a Project Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who have experienced homelessness to achieve their full potential and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to encourage customers to maximise their own potential and independence
  • Assess customers' needs by writing and updating support plans
  • Be a first point of call to receive and direct all customer queries
  • Develop relationships with customers, ensuring that customers maintain personal choice, privacy, and dignity
  • Liaise with external support links to improve customers' confidence, health and wellbeing and offer training and encouragement towards employment and education
  • Handle occasional emergency situations
  • Keep accurate and high-quality written records
Requirements
  • Experience of working with adults who have experienced homelessness
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong 'can-do' attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards is essential
