Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Residential Care Specialist to join our team in Bridgwater. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to young people in our residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a safe and supportive environment, promoting the well-being and development of young people.
  • Foster a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding, addressing any challenging behaviors or issues that may arise.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, tailored to meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of young people's progress, including incident reports, behavior charts, and daily logs.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for working with vulnerable children and young people. A full UK driving license is essential, as you will be required to transport young people on occasion. We also require you to hold a QCF Level 3/4 in Children's Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards achieving this qualification.

What We Offer

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £26,000 per annum, plus sleep-in allowance (£50 per sleep-in, equivalent to an additional £6,000 per annum). You will also receive 28 days' annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), company pension scheme, free meals when on shift, and opportunities for professional development and training.
