Lead Social Care Manager in Adult Services

We are seeking an experienced Adults Social Work Lead to join our team at Ackerman Pierce Ltd. Based in the Tameside area, this role will involve working with vulnerable adults and families in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Job SummaryThis Qualified Adults Social Work Manager position offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of social workers in providing high-quality care services to adults in need. With a strong focus on assessment, investigation, and support, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of service users while promoting positive outcomes.
About the Role- Initial Assessments and Core Assessments: You will conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs of service users and develop personalized care plans.
- Section 47 Investigations: As a Qualified Adults Social Work Manager, you will lead investigations into allegations of abuse or neglect, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to protect vulnerable individuals.
- Contributing to the Duty Rota: You will participate in a rotational duty system, providing coverage and support to colleagues during peak periods.
- Initiating Care Proceedings: In cases where necessary, you will initiate care proceedings to ensure the protection and welfare of service users.
- Working in a Multi-Agency Capacity: You will collaborate with other professionals and agencies to provide comprehensive support and services to families and individuals.
- Initial Child Protection Reports and Conference Reports: As required, you will prepare and submit reports on child protection matters, contributing to case conferences and decision-making processes.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Post-qualifying experience as a Qualified Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of post-qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry.
- An Enhanced DBS/CRB check (we can assist with obtaining one if needed).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
