About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our team at Harris Invictus Academy Croydon. As a subject leader, you will play a key role in developing and implementing the department's curriculum, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in modern society.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of teachers, coordinating departmental events and activities, and collaborating with colleagues to promote excellence in teaching and learning. You will also be expected to teach a range of subjects, including French and Spanish, to students aged 11-18.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Modern Foreign Languages department
  • Develop and implement the department's curriculum
  • Coordinate departmental events and activities
  • Teach a range of subjects to students aged 11-18
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

Requirements

  • QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
  • Successful teaching experience at secondary level, ideally including experience in multi-ethnic urban schools and of working in an 11-18 school
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess a good understanding of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4

Salary

£35,000 - £55,000 per annum
