Uptime Support Manager

As a key member of the Uptime Support Department at Olympus Europa SE & Co. KG, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers' medical equipment is available when required. This involves educating and persuading end-users to improve the care and handling of medical devices, preventing avoidable equipment damage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Build strong relationships with customers, providing ongoing support and regular visits to their sites.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze repair trends to provide bespoke support aimed at reducing repairs and improving uptime.
  • Training and Education: Deliver engaging training sessions to groups of varying sizes, using a range of methods to ensure effective learning.
  • As a key ambassador for Olympus, you will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them navigate various situations that impact the day-to-day running of the department and services offered to patients.
  • Achieve Repair Plan targets, Customer Visits targets, and Uptime Percentage targets.
  • Visit customers to ensure they are following correct processes, suggest changes, and deliver training, following up on each session to ensure learning points have been understood and implemented.
  • Work closely with in-field colleagues to maximize future sales opportunities by helping them bring in new business and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Analyze repair data to highlight hospitals/departments requiring specific focus/repair reduction support.
  • Provide end-user training and installation support for Endoscopic Decontamination Equipment.
  • Carry out onsite customer audits of equipment and processes.
  • Record details of every customer visit on the CRM database, ensuring all teams are aware of your work at that site.
  • Meet with your Manager monthly to review progress and discuss the impact you are having on sites in your area.
Minimum Requirements
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Professional attitude with an eagerness to learn
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable working within a theatre/procedure/decontamination environment
  • Ability to work flexibly, staying late or working weekends as the customer requires
