Athona Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our Adult Acute Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to provide high-quality care and therapeutic support in an inpatient setting.

Our hospital offers a range of inpatient mental health services, including acute mental health wards that support male and female patients during times of crisis. Our facilities provide a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for individuals with conditions such as schizophrenia, personality disorders, depression, and bipolar disorder.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and contribute to their recovery journey. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing nursing care and acting as a named nurse for a defined group of patients
  • Assessing, planning, and delivering care in partnership with patients and their families
  • Engaging with service users to assess needs, monitor progress, and adapt care plans
  • Promoting and adhering to the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) model in patient care
  • Ensuring high standards of care and therapeutic engagement during inpatient stays
  • Participating in quality improvement processes and clinical governance activities
  • Providing clear and accessible information to patients and families regarding care
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and effective communication within the team

The successful candidate will possess Active NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PIN, knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices, a positive attitude toward service improvement, and commitment to quality care.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Athona Ltd is committed to providing a competitive package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
