About the Role

They will be empowered to support our clients in becoming more sustainable, working collaboratively with other teams across the business. The ideal candidate will be chartered with a recognised relevant professional body and educated to degree level in an environmental or engineering related discipline.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Leading on carbon, sustainability, and net zero initiatives for major infrastructure projects and strategic clients.
  • Developing innovative carbon and sustainability strategies, designs, solutions, and management plans.
  • Project managing and coordinating sustainability inputs on major infrastructure projects.
  • Representing the company at external networks and building their personal, team, and company reputation.
  • Contributing to bid proposals, helping to author submissions and ensuring win themes are retained throughout.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Chartered with a recognised relevant professional body and educated to degree level in an environmental or engineering related discipline.
  • Prior experience and up-to-date knowledge in some of the following: carbon accounting, decarbonisation/net zero roadmaps, sustainability assessments, whole life carbon, sustainability reporting, sustainability strategy, supply chain engagement.
  • Strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills tailored to various audiences, seniorities, and technical competencies.
  • Understanding of UK sustainability and carbon guidance and standards used within infrastructure and in corporate reporting, across both public and private sectors.
  • A passion for sustainability.
