Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or willingness to work toward it, plus a degree or equivalent with Level 2 Maths and English.
  • Specialist Training: A subject-specific teaching qualification is a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong administrative and organizational abilities, including effective student behavior management and a commitment to pastoral care in alternative education.
  • Community Collaboration: Demonstrated experience working with parents, community partners, and stakeholders to support students with diverse needs.
  • Knowledge of Inclusion: Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and inclusion in alternative education for vulnerable populations.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and address student challenges, ensuring appropriate support is provided.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills for engaging students, parents, community members, and colleagues.
  • Experience: Teaching experience across secondary age groups, with a record of inspiring and motivating students. Familiarity with virtual learning is a plus.
  • High Standards: A role model who sets high expectations for student behavior and outcomes, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
