Unleash Your Potential in AI-Driven Materials Science

We invite applications from talented individuals to join our dynamic team as a PhD Research Associate. In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal part in developing artificial intelligence methods for predicting crystal structures, a crucial step in materials discovery.

The project, funded by AlChemy, brings together experts from AI and experimental/computational chemistry. You will be based at the University of Liverpool, collaborating with leading researchers to integrate AI technologies with robotics and advance materials science.

Your success will depend on your ability to develop and apply machine learning approaches to crystal structure prediction. A strong background in Computer Science or Mathematics is necessary, while experience in AI-driven materials science is beneficial but not required.

This two-year appointment provides an excellent opportunity to engage with diverse professionals, expand your knowledge, and enhance your skills in AI, materials science, and collaborative research.

Compensation Package: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, reflecting industry standards.
